Health, safety and welfare are essential to our business and the application of this policy is a prime responsibility of management. To this end the company is determined to take every step necessary to discharge the duties laid down by the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974, and other relevant legislation and under common law.
It is the duty of all employees to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work.  Specific responsibilities have been allocated to certain Senior Managers as described in the health and safety manual.  The responsibilities are designed to enable those managers to identify risks, carry out an effective assessment of that risk to the health and safety of employees and others, and reduce the risk to an acceptable level.  Senior managers will also develop and maintain safe systems at work.  Specialist advice will be available from the Technical Services departments necessary to assist in this exercise.
The company is committed to the provision of such information and training as may be necessary to enable all employees to carry out their duties without risk to the health and safety of themselves and others.
In addition to the general arrangements and responsibilities set out in the policy, each location may develop its own specific arrangements for implementing this policy and that of Honoré Patisserie Limited
